Scholarship

Each year the NLICA awards our $1000.00 Memorial Scholarship to a student pursuing any field of higher education.

To be eligible, the applicant must be related to an Active NLICA Contractor Member, who has been in the association for two or more year. This includes the member’s spouse, children, or grandchildren either by birth or marriage.

Scholarship award qualifications & requirements

  • Student must be an active NLICA contractor member, who has been in the association for two years or more; their spouse, children or grandchildren, either by birth or marriage.

  • Student must be attending or accepted to an accredited college or university for admission in the fall of the same year the award is granted.

  • Student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Student must send their completed application to: NLICA Executive Director, 1000 27th Road Walthill, NE 68067.

    1. Applications must be postmarked no later than March 15.

    2. Applications postmarked after March 15 will not be considered.

    3. Application must be completed per instructions.

    4. Incomplete applications with be dismissed.

scholarship Award Procedure

  • Scholarship payment will be made out jointly to the student and school.

  • Applicants who are in their senior year of high school will be awarded the scholarship the second semester of enrollment.

  • Those who are attending a college and apply for this scholarship will be awarded in the fall.
